The ten keys to personal power

  Ten keys to personal power:

Key 1: Clarity

"Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you're going. If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do."
What this is basically telling you is that have a plan on what you want to do in the future. You could be the one who starts a successful company, makes billions of dollars, and has worked to cure diseases all around the world but you never know unless you have a plan to. Most people who have become successful is because they had an idea on what they wanted to do in their life.Having an idea with what you want to do with your life is better than just walking into a job interview blindly. Mostly because you're just looking for a job to keep you from dying. It's not a job you actually enjoy. Those who you might be working for might have started out the same as you, confused not knowing what to do in life. But they somehow must've gotten an idea on what they wanted to do in their life and then  they just went along with that dream.

Key 2: Competence

"If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get. "
In this world works on money and power. The more money you have the more power you earn. So if you're a billionaire then a high status will be given to you.But in order to have received a lot of money is if you worked hard. If you show that you're competitive and ready to work then its highly likely that they'll be people to hire you. If you show from an early start that you're competitive you sort of automatically start building a better path for yourself and being competitive gets you in a lot of fields. Competitiveness gets you into business related fields. It leads you to places that require effort and that also require a lot of group effort. Mostly because the more competitive you are the more you'll sell and if you're working in places like the entertainment business then working well with others is very critical to making a successful business.

Key 3: Concentration

"Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself "Is this the best use of my time?" before you start anything."
Time never stops. It doesn't stop for anyone nor will it slow down for anyone.Time just keeps moving and slowly starts slipping away from our grasp. We have to use our time living wisely or at least living happily. We've already established that life is to short to be unhappy but its true, years go by fast.We spend most of our lives trying to figure out who we are, what we want to be, and what makes us happy. Not all of us find what we were expecting and very few pursue their dreams for the rest of their lives. It just all depends on the situation you're in. But one thing that everyone has in common is the fact that we waste time without realizing it. We often try to entertain ourselves to avoid responsibilities but when will we stop lying to ourselves and accept the fact that we're all scared?

Key 4: Common sense

- Train your mind

-Think things through

-Listen to your intuition

-Learn from setbacks

Having common sense is a thing everyone needs. We all have common sense but not all of us use it. Common sense helps us make decisions that are plain out obvious at times. Although some people don't view it as obvious it doesn't require much thinking. Things that hold you back are things that boost up your common sense or ways to make rational decisions. Listening to your instincts can sometimes be better than listening to your mind. Mostly because some of us tend to over think, and that's what causes us to make bad decisions. In the heat of the moment we do whatever first things come to mind, not all of those things are good ideas.

Key 5: creativity
"Except the fact that every human being is a genius. The hallmark of creativity is asking questions. The people who are most creative ask the most questions."

Key 6: Consideration
"The quality of you relationships with other people will determine your success in life."
"Develop the people skills you need to become a better communicator. Take courses in listening, speaking, etc"
"If you were to learn one new word a day, within five years, you'll be the best educated person in history."
What this means is that determination is valuable in your path of success. Developing necessary traits is also vital in your journey. If you develop what you need it's easier for you to acquire your desired needs. You don't need to rush anything. In fact if you learn something little by little over the course of sometime you'll already be highly educated. It doesn't matter how long it takes it just matters that you understand what you're doing and that you're comfortable doing it. Having consideration means that you don't tend to shut people out of your life. You enjoy having people right besides you because you're always there to lend a hand. And that since you've helped in the past they will help you in the present.

Key 7:Consistency
"Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work."
"Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work. Be the person that people can depend upon. That if you say you'll do something you do it."
What this means is that if you say something then do it. If you promised to do something then do it. Once you promise to do something you're obligated to follow through. If you have a job then you're supposed to be as reliable as you can to  your co-workers because that shows that you're a good person. A hard working person who never lets you down will soon get rewarded somehow. Whether it be mentally, physically, emotionally, or financially it gets better for them. An example of being consistent is when you set a goal for yourself like to lose weight or to read a book in less than three days.

Key 8: Commitment
"No success is possible without commitment. The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success."
"Become totally absorbed in your work. Be totally committed."
What this means is that commitment is just as important as consistency. When you're dedicated about something you're determined to finish/achieve it. Being committed to something means that you either try to do it daily so that you're content with your results later on.Or you may try to start on it instead of putting it off until later. Being committed to something is the same as making a promise to do it.If you do it then there's a benefit for you. If you don't do it it can go either way. It could be disastrous for you or it can be chaotic for everyone. It depends on what you're being devoted to.

Key 9: Courage
"The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life."
What this means is that fear is a good thing. Fear is something that motivates you into being your best (or at least trying to be.) The more you fear that you won't make it the more you'll work to achieve it. The courage it takes to work with fear is pretty incredible. It's a great form of motivation because panic makes people think/work fast and the faster you work/think the faster you achieve something. Although being scared is a good thing there might be some bad side effects from this, such as anxiety. Then there's the point where you want to give up on everything because "i won't make it anyways." "Why am i still even trying?" The negative things you say to yourself (or what others may say about you) shouldn't sink in to discourage you. It should sink in to make you do the opposite and keep going. Why you may ask? Because not only will you achieve your goal you'll also get the satisfaction of proving someone wrong.

Key 10: Confidence
"You only get confidence by doing things over and over again."
What this means is that being confident is a good thing. It's something essential that you need in order to succeed. If you're confident you don't second guess yourself all the time and when you want to do something you just do it. If you're confident then you aren't ashamed of doing what you want to do. Confidence doesn't let anyone/anything hold you back. With confidence it reassures your motivation and keeps you going. Confidence is believing in yourself and having the willingness to be happy about it. It helps you keep track of your goal and you feel proud because you're making small steps to inch closer to your goal. Confidence is a mindset that usually helps you out when making harsh decisions.

Reflection: How the ten keys can benefit anyone in the future is that so far with confidence, you'll be able to achieve what you want because you have a feeling that you'll make it either way. With courage you keep going towards what you want because you're not afraid of failure because you're willing to risk it so many times because you know it'll lead to something great. With commitment you're personally making a promise with yourself to continue on with your goal. And since commitment is a long term progress you kind of keep at it with the goal because you know success is near. By being consistent you're slowly making progress everyday even just because you thought of the goal you have that's better than not thinking at all. If you take it into consideration you're making great progress because while achieving a goal/trying to plan what a goal should be try helping out others around you and they will somehow do the same. Creativity is vital to nearly everything and in that sense creativity has no right or wrong. You can think of whatever you want as long as no one else has done it before you. Common sense, concentration, competence, and clarity are all very important too because they help you focus and to choose what is right at the moment.
